These last thirty plus years of ministry, pastoral counseling and leadership training has led me to take up the mantle of warning and helping Christians prepare for the coming end-of-the-age troubles. I completed my basic Bible classes at Seattle Pacific College and finished my undergraduate work at Central Washington University in Business Administration and Computer Science. My military training in leadership and as military instructor, along with years of coaching athletics adds to my rounded approach in leadership instruction, mentoring and training. Within these many years of ministry and pastoral counseling the Lord has given me insight concerning the weak condition God's people are in, and how to help change that.
It was in 1973, while in the Marines, that I came to know Christ. I had just reenlistment for another six years and planned on making my life's career as a Marine. Then in 1974, after reading David Wilkerson's book, "The Vision" I received the call of God for full time ministry. Graciously, God moved upon the Marine Corps to grant my early release request by giving me an honorable discharge. My orders were to return to Camp Pendleton, at my convenience anytime after December 11, 1974. Thus, on December 18th I received my discharge and on January 5th, 1975 I began my formal studies for full time ministry.
Not long into my Biblical studies, I gave God permission to train and prepare me. Thus, in 1976 I made a covenant with God, giving Him permission to do what ever it takes to change me on the inside, and not to stop, even if I relented later if I backed out. Within two months of that prayer, all hell broke loose and my life took a drastic change. Later, as I looked back I realized it was at that moment of commitment that I enrolled in Christ's school of ministry.
It was hard learning to rely on the Lord, seeking understanding of Scripture, to walk in the true gifts of the Holy Spirit. Importantly, learning to embrace the uncomfortable teachings of Christ. I learned by experience and study how to properly approach shepherding those in my care; in compassion, patience, firmness, and by example. My preaching, teaching, and discernment encourages others to walk in uncompromising faith and flee the false, the game player, and the wolf.
As a bondservant of Christ, I continue to present Christ's teachings and leadership principles often overlooked or avoided. Over the years of preaching, teaching, and counseling with gifts of the Holy Spirit, I realized that I needed to understand and apply all that Christ taught. My conviction is that the harder words of Christ, when embraced brings death to the carnal self-life, leading to the fullness of life in Christ. With this, I began to see that far too many Christians are led astray into taking shortcuts resulting in a counterfeit walk with Christ.
In 2004, I learned how to become a self-publish author, by publishing my first book. Then I began to write extensively concerning the sorrowful condition of the body of Christ, exposing the false teachings misleading so many. Further, I realized the need for true recovery from a crushed spirit and damaged emotions-which can be accomplished by following Christ and working with the Holy Spirit. Having authored over ten titles, I choose to continue to write in a style that is straight forward with the intent to quicken the believer's heart to act and deal with their besetting issues, and how to work out their own salvation in fear and trembling. (See Philippians 2:12-13.)
My burden is to warn and teach, seeing the stark reality that most Christians are not prepared for the coming troubles. The coming Great Tribulation will be used by God to make His church without spot or blemish, if you will, to become rapture ready. Even then, many Christians will be like the five foolish maidens who did not have enough oil for their lamps and missed Christ's appearance. (Matthew 25:1-13). In the end many "on fire" Evangelical-Pentecostal-Charismatic Christians will find themselves "locked out" from the wedding feast, hearing these words from Christ, "I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness" (Mathew 7:23).
I am constrained by the Lord to help and encourage as many Christians as possible, that they become sincere believers in Christ. That each might wake up now and get ready, before they hear the midnight cry, "Behold, the bridegroom! Come out to meet him" (Matthew 25:6).
Currently I am part of the MC Global Ministries leadership team and the senior pastor ministering at MC Chapel Fellowship in Canon City, Colorado.
