Mission and Profile

Jesus motivated His followers by saying: “Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it” (Matthew 10:39).
Most Christian speakers are competing to be heard and labor to help motivate Christians on how to live a prosperous life on Earth—directing believers to support the church or become involved in ministry. Christians are taught to become on fire for God and overcome inner issues by suppressing the old nature.
In reality, Christians are tricked into creating an outer Christian personality that covers up the old nature by ignoring red flag indicators that point to issues within their heart and character. Popular teachings are designed to help suppress or hide latent defilements along with emotional and spiritual wounds that drive unbelief, selfishness, and sin. The old nature seems to go away, but becomes active and troublesome during a trial of faith. If left in this state, many will be at risk of falling away when the last days persecution becomes rampant.
Pastor Pretlow sets forth the whole counsel of God to equip the sincere Christian on how to lose one’s life for Christ, in order to gain it. Most believers today lack understanding on giving up one’s life to Christ, on Christ’s terms. Like the unprepared Christians in the parable of the Ten Virgins, many believers are at risk of losing their eternal life.
Pastor Pretlow challenges the popular doctrines that teach Christians to become spiritually hyped-up within their spirit, by the power of their own spirit—believing this is the way to the fulness of life in Christ.
The work of the cross within the believers life is the core of Pastor Pretlow’s ministry. Listening to his messages helps the sincere Christian learn how to be led by the Holy Spirit, and to die to their old nature and the love of life in this world—in order to be raised by Christ to newness of life in Him. He teaches followers of Christ how to discern and take ownership of their thoughts and intentions of the heart. (Learning to work with the Lord to crucify these latent issues, not suppress them temporarily.)
As these last days unwind, the Christian who has learned to crucify the works of the flesh (the old nature), and walk in the fulness of Christ will be able to stand at Christ’s appearance. “And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires” (Galatians 5:24).
Many Christians are trapped by their own love of the prosperous life in America. Christ warns Christians that they need to become strong in the Lord at the end of this age: “But watch yourselves lest your hearts be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and cares of this life, and that day come upon you suddenly like a trap. For it will come upon all who dwell on the face of the whole earth. But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man” (Luke 21:34-36).
Pastor Pretlow has served the Lord for over 35 years, ministering, pastoring and counseling wounded Christians and exhorting on the deeper and harder teachings of Christ. Read more on his ministry background…
